Enhanced alliance with AfterCollege opens up 7,000 new academic career networks
NEW YORK, NY – July 22, 2009 – SmartPost, the innovative online job posting and sourcing product from Bernard Hodes Group, announced an expanded partnership with AfterCollege, a leading college web site powering the largest number of career networks on the Internet. Through the alliance, SmartPost customers will now be able to post jobs and internships to more than 7,000 academic career networks in engineering, finance, allied health, nursing, diversity, technology and life sciences.
Through SmartPost’s industry leading e‐media library of more than 10,000 job board destinations, users will be able to locate and post to relevant academic departments and student groups with AfterCollege‐powered career networks. SmartPost customers will also have the option to post to bundles of groups and departments organized by discipline and location. An April 2009 survey conducted by AfterCollege found that nearly 80 percent of graduating college students are having difficulty finding work and many are evaluating jobs that they would not normally consider. As a result, employers will benefit from an unprecedented pool of talented entry‐level candidates through which they can strengthen their branding and recruitment efforts.
SmartPost users will be able to post to individual departments and groups on AfterCollege for a $45 per‐posting fee. Alternatively, they can choose to post to specific bundles containing multiple AfterCollege career networks for a $149 per‐posting fee. This represents a significant discount for SmartPost customers offering them more than $175 off standard bundled rates.

The partnership saves employers time by allowing them to take their existing posting on SmartPost and expand their reach through AfterCollege’s growing network.
